TROLLING

Imposter lures have been field, and tournament tested, for years, by Charter Captains, and weekend warriors. They have found them to work well using downriggers, divers, dodgers, flashers, lead cores, coppers, cowbells, and high lines. Imposter Lures work especially well, when used with leadcore and copper lines on planer boards. Their natural design, and wounded action convinces fish to strike, even in the clearest water. Some fishermen call Imposter Lures , the STEALTH LURE.

JIGGING

Many big Salmon, Trout, Walleye, Pike, and Bass have been caught while vertically jigging all sizes of our lures. A fisherman in Muskegon lake has taken several Pike over 38 inches, (I have seen the pictures) with a, KING series (4 1/4 inch) Blue Bubble trolling lure by jigging it in the lilly pads in 8 feet of water (it sure supprized me !). He says he has viewed several strikes on a underwater camera, and says the lure looks just like a dying alewife when you jig it.

USING GLOW LURES

When using Imposter glow lures use a camera flash to get the lure realy bright. We have noticed with our lures, THE BRIGHTER they are, THE BETTER they work. We have done very well using glow lures during the day when fishing below 30 feet, especially near the bottom for big kings and lakers. The strikes in low light  hours can be savage, and often require long nose plyers to get your lure back, Just an observation.

LURE ADJUSTMENTS

Imposter lures come pre-set to troll between 1 1/2 mph and 3 1/2 mph right out of the box. NO ADJUSTMENT NEEDED. If your lure becomes damaged (bent), it can be easily reset.Set the boat speed at approximatley 2 1/2 mph. Use a rod and a 5 foot lead to check the action of lure. The lure should briskly dart but not flip over. If necessary, bend the arc of the lure and check the action again, repeat if necessary.
