Imposter Lures were developed and are manufactured in the small west Michigan town of New Era, along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

With the advent of Zebra mussels and the ever clearing water, my salmon catches were diminishing. Being a life long toolmaker and avid fisherman, I decided to try to design a better fishing lure.

Using an underwater camera and a test fishing crew with years of experience, we observed both the behavior of the bait fish, and how the salmon fed on them. The result was a more realistic spoon - the “Imposter Lure™”.

From years of experience I knew the importance of good quality hooks and components. I researched and tested various components and hardware to insure that I used the best on the market today and are backed with a 3 year limited warranty.
